The RIFL has reinstated Lake Erie effective immediately. A statement released by the league said "We are putting Lake Erie back in active mode with the league. They are working on a resolution to the issue they were facing and all parties involved are happy at what is being done to come to a solution. To respect the privacy of all that are involved we won't be releasing any further details on this matter. Look for some changes with the franchise coming very soon. We have spend many hours in communication with Mr. Galbraith and the other party and all should be taken care of in a couple of weeks. We look forward to Lake Erie being part of the RIFL for a long time."

The RIFL has entered into an agreement with All Sports Enterprises to supply league teams with the new softboard system boards. GamePlex® is the original portable, semi-portable or permanent rink system made of rotationally molded plastic, and designed for indoor or outdoor use. The modular, in...terlocking panels let you bring in-line hockey, indoor soccer, arena football, and more to your program for a fraction of the cost of traditional rink systems. Make your rink any size or configuration you want. Set-up is a snap with very few parts to assemble and simplicity built right in. Any team needing new boards will get them exclusively from All Sports Enterprises. Several NHL teams and various NCAA programs use these very same boards.
