Here is an article from dfwfootball.net It's a few weeks old but it's news. Williams to start over with new leagueApril 19, 2010 by admin The Regional Indoor Football League had a bit of “parting of ways.” It is unclear what really happened as members of the present RIFL claim to have ousted Williams. Williams sent the following statement to clarify things from his perspective.Charter members of the Regional Indoor Football League have moved forward after weeks of discussion, we felt the hard work that had been put into it had somewhat been eroded and the best thing for us to do was leave the name behind us .
In the wake of that we have emerged stronger and in much better shape our new logo and name send ’s a clear message of the break and where we intend to go, our new site will be up in soon .
The Professional Indoor Football League will launch in April of 2011 but free open league combines will be held starting in August of this Summer in every teams market, and we expect to launch the PIFL Network in a few months as we start to build toward the August Owner meetings and 2011 Schedule release in September, we currently have 24 teams and a possible all New Mexico division or mixture of those teams into the Western division.
The PIFL will play crossover games in 2010 as a few teams will play some low key games but one that will have fans watching is the June 12th match up of the West Texas Rustlers vs the Louisiana Swashbucklers of the Southern Indoor Football League in Louisiana.
The Rustlers are loaded with talent and this should be a great game as the Rustlers bring to the table a strong defensive line something the Bucks have had problems with already this season.

Posted Jun 6/10 - PIFL combine information released.
The 20 yard dash times are deemed most important for linemen and with a 50 yard field skill position players for the indoor game will have to be very explosive in 30 yards .
Our game is about speed and quickness, some PIFL teams are building themselves into a power based strong run game as well because the indoor game is evolving and will have more of the outdoor game look and feel to field play in its future.
