La Crosse, WI: The La Crosse Spartans and the La Crosse chapter of the American Red Cross are partnering together for this Friday's game to donate a portion of ticket sales to the storm relief efforts here in La Crosse. On Sunday, a tornado tore through the southside of La Crosse, damaging businesses, homes, and apartment complexes in its path. Several people have been without power and hot water and have been displaced from their homes permanently.
The Spartans will be offering a special $15 ticket for all 200-level seating with $5 from each ticket sold going directly to the Red Cross. In addition, fans are encouraged to bring cleaning items and non-perishable food items to the game this weekend to assist with the help. The ticket special will run through the Spartans' office up until 5:00 p.m. this Thursday, May 26th and can be purchased by calling 608-782-4461.
"We are saddened by the damage done by this weekend's storm," La Crosse Spartans General Manager Chris Kokalis said. "We hope that we can help those families that are without a place to call home. Even if you are not a football fan or a Spartans fan, we hope that the La Crosse community will get behind this effort to donate."
Individual game tickets for the La Crosse Spartans second season in the Indoor Football League are on sale now at the La Crosse Center box office. Tickets for home games are on sale now for as little as $7 including the Spartans next home game on May 27th against the Green Bay Blizzard.
Group ticket packages and special family four-pack offers are also available by calling the Spartans ticket office at 608-782-4461. To purchase single-game tickets, stop by the La Crosse Center box office or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
