SAGINAW, MI – LaVaughn Macon’s 11-yard pass reception with 10 seconds left lifted Saginaw to the 63-58 victory over Northern Kentucky Friday at the Dow Center.
The victory kept Saginaw’s chances of claiming the league’s top seed alive. Northern Kentucky, however, still holds an one-game lead in the standings with three games to play.
The Sting converted two third downs on the final possession, including the winning touchdown. Northern Kentucky had a chance to pull out the victory, driving down to the 12 yardline with two seconds remaining. However, Lorenzen was sacked to end the game.
JOHNSTOWN 41, HUNTINGTON 15 – Johnstown showed its defense isn’t bad either as the Generals held Huntington scoreless in the second half in posting the victory. The win kept Johnstown’s slim playoff hopes alive.
The Generals (4-7), winners in three of their last four games, move one game behind Huntington (5-6) for the final spot in the playoffs.
