CANTON, OH – The Ultimate Indoor Football League (UIFL) is pleased to announce the weekly Players of the Week, for the week ending March 6. (UIFL Weekly Report)
Johnstown defensive end Victor Sesay was named the Terry’s Tire Town Defensive Player of the Week after recording four tackles, all for loss, including three sacks in Johnstown’s home opener. He is the first Generals player this season to earn the league’s weekly honor.
Two Northern Kentucky players, Harry Lewis and Dustin Zink, earned the other two league honors.
Lewis, the Conquest Cards Offensive Player of the Week, turned in a huge performance against Johnstown. He hauled in a league single-game record 151 yards with four touchdowns as the River Monsters improved to 2-0 with a victory over the Generals.
With only the league’s second Uno to go along with his 44.5 yard average on kickoffs, NKY’s Dustin Zink was named the Edge Sportswear Special Teams Player of the Week. He was also 8-of-10 on extra points, and is now 17-of-19 on the season.
The Ultimate Indoor Football League is a professional indoor football league with six teams in five states. The teams are places in Saginaw, Mich. (Saginaw Sting), Canton, Ohio (Canton Cougars), Johnstown, Pa. (Johnstown Generals), Highland Heights, Ky. (Northern Kentucky River Monsters), Pikeville, Ky. (Eastern Kentucky Drillers) and Huntington, WVa. (Huntington Hammer).
