The RIFL has entered into discussions with United Sports Media about getting Regional Indoor Football League games on television. United Sports Media offers unlimited potential for the RIFL, including getting games broadcast on Direct TV. A league spokesman released the following statement on the topic. "We are extremely excited about the opportunity with United Sports Media. We talked with them at great length and they laid out everything they can and want to do for us. Really the options are limitless as far as the doors they can open for us. As a league and for our teams this is a huge deal for us. Everyone wins in this." RIFL owners spoke cautiously about the deal. Ray Damon said "We are still in discussions but we have made a lot of progress so far and I think it is going to be a great deal for us. Nothing is done as of yet and nothing is going to get done overnight. But we had great discussions and they will continue. Both parties are very interested in working together so I don't see any reason why something won't be worked out. But like everything else, its going to take some time. But I will say that I think a deal will be done. The question is just when, as many details still have to be worked out." Alton Walker added "This is a great thing for all involved and I look forward to hammering out the details and dotting all the "I's" and crossing all the "T's".
