www.wenatcheeworld.com/news/2010/may/06/the-matchup-venom-at-predators/?venomArctic Predators head coach: Hans A. Deemer, Sr. (first season)
Wenatchee Valley head coach: Keith Evans (first season)
Last week: The Venom suffered from a rough first half and were handed a 70-38 defeat by San Jose, while the Arctic Predators earned their first win of the year 66-63 over Yakima Valley.
Arctic Predators’ player to watch: Monte Purvis has done it all, ranking among the team leaders in rushing (14.3 yards per game, three touchdowns), passing (68.3 yards per game, one touchdown), and receiving (20.7 yards per game).
Wenatchee Valley’s player to watch: Devin Hollins has a team-high 130.79 passing rating in two games for the Venom, but is just coming back after missing the team’s last two contests.
Keys for Arctic Predators: Consistency on offense has been the Predators’ problem all season long. They may have turned a corner by scoring 66 points on Yakima Valley last Saturday, but that kind of production will need to continue against the Venom if they’re going to go on a winning streak.
Keys for Wenatchee Valley: The Venom’s revamped passing attack will get a big test, going up against the league’s top-rated passing defense. If quarterbacks Neal Sharma and Hollins have trouble connecting with the receivers, it could be more of the same for Wenatchee Valley.
