11/12/09 Update
NEW USFL AIMS FOR LAUNCH OF SPRING FOOTBALL Football League Sets Goal of 10-12 Cities For 2011
REDONDO BEACH, CA – The New United States Football League announces plans to launch a professional spring football league to begin in the Spring of 2011. The league’s goal is to have 10-12 teams in the first year of play with teams throughout the United States.
“We have a strong sense of history and believe that the marketplace has demonstrated the desire to have ‘Spring football’,” said New USFL Founder/President MICHAEL DWYER. “The USFL had a strong connection with many of its fans and we hope to re-ignite that passion and pick up where the others left off.”
The league will play traditional stadium-played football with most of the rules being based from the original USFL concepts. The league is also in the process of recruiting its staff and securing sponsorships with announcements to follow in the near future.
“Other leagues have proven that the talent is out there,” Dwyer said. “We want to be the Spring destination of the ultimate football fan who can’t wait for the Fall.”
The league will announce cities that will play in 2011 at a later date, but Dwyer said that former USFL locations would receive strong consideration when selecting where franchises will be placed.
Sponsors or potential investors interested in partnering with the New USFL should contact Michael Dwyer at michael_dwyer@newusfl.com.

Dear New USFL Fans,
You have been the best. I can't wait to see your enthusiasm when the teams come to life!
The plan is to go with eight teams to start the league. Six of the eight teams have already been awarded and we are waiting until the end of August before we can announce all the teams.
We still have one last hurdle before we can say we are back, but all things look to be on our side. Once all the deals are signed we will let the news out ASAP. Now I know everyone wants to know what that hurdle is. I'm sorry but I will have to tell you once we are over it.
People keep asking about Los Angeles. If Los Angeles comes in, I think it will be in year two or three. However we do have another meeting with a group of ex-Rams that just may pull it off for year one. Things change by the hour on this and until all deals have been done, we just can't say anything for certain. So thanks again for understanding that with time, it will all work itself out. August is it!

Dear New USFL Fans,
I wanted to give you an update on the state of the New United States Football League.
In order to do this right we have had to deal with a great many challenges. I believe we are doing all the right things to bring you USFL fans the best product possible.
Everyone wants to know where will the teams be located and when will the season start? Who is in the front office? Who will the owners be? That's just a few of the 100 or so questions we receive a day.
Without breaking any soon-to-be-signed deals, here's what we can share. The current locations we are looking to place teams: Memphis, Orlando, Ohio, Nevada, Philadelphia & Los Angeles are all being held pending ownership.
Also under consideration for the next 2 to 6 spots are: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Utah, Tampa Bay, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, New York, New Jersey, Denver, New Orleans, Chicago, North Carolina & Portland. (Keep in mind the final selection of USFL cities could change.)
By the end of September 2010 we will know if we will be playing in 2011 with 6 to 8 teams or 2012 with 8 to 12 teams. The owner names will not be released until a total of eight have been approved.
The New USFL staff wants to thank you all for waiting on this to come to life. I know you have many more questions, and we will answer them once the deals are in place. I can't wait for you fans to see some of the great people that will be working in the New USFL's League office.
THE NEW UNITED STATES FOOTBALL LEAGUE WILL RETURN !!!

Dear New USFL Fans,
Today we are announcing that the New United States Football League will play in 2012 with 12 teams. This decision will allow us to start with more teams and start off stronger, with more fans. This will also allow the front office for each team to be up and working for a year before we kick off. Other reasons that came into play on this decision include:
• We don't have to take a TV deal in a mad rush • We can take our time and get the best deal for the league and its fans • It also keeps us clear of a potential NFL strike in 2011 As much as we wanted to go with 6 to 8 teams in 2011, the smartest thing to do was wait for 2012, kicking off with 12 strong teams and a TV deal that works for all parties. The owners are getting in place now and it won't be long before we can share all the important information you're looking for. Thanks for understanding and we look forward to the 2012 season kickoff of the United States Football League.

;D We can't start in 2010, we can't start in 2011, we'll try to start in 2012 when we have a FANTASTIC TV deal in place. I'm not holding my breath on this one.

Dear USFL fans:
If any of you has $50,000,000 that you had received from Nigerian Prince Umubufuku, please wire some of that to the USFL so we can play in 20XX.

How do you expect to compete with a league like the UNITED FOOTBALL LEAGUE which seems to have a pretty good start already.
I don't see a big enough market for THREE professional football leagues in the United States, perhaps I could be wrong.

Well. it is a spring league so it won't be playing at the same time as the other leagues. Still, they have a definite up hill battle to succeed.

Atlanta, GA, February 3, 2011: SkyBoxx Empire has officially joined into a partnership agreement with the New United States Football League (USFL). The partnership unites both entities in the development and launch of the New USFL as well as brand and marketing management.

(Los Angeles, Calif.) – In 2008, Michael Dwyer had a vision of fulfilling the wishes of many football fans across America; bring back the USFL, an outdoor professional spring football league. After years of research, hard work and dedication, Dwyer, the founder of the New USFL, is now significantly closer to fulfilling his vision.
A little over a month ago, Dwyer and USFL CFO Vivian Anderson coordinated a four day meeting in Los Angeles, to attempt to put the finishing touches on resurrecting a league that has been defunct since 1985. Present at that meeting were potential owners, investors and future league office staff members that had one goal in common, launch the New USFL in the spring of 2012.
“This league may have been defunct since 1985, but the fans will never let it die, nor will our New USFL staff. This group show’s me everyday how badly we all want this,” stated Dwyer.
Topics of discussion included the finalizing of all legal documents to create the New USFL, the league’s business plan, league financing and the targeting of future USFL markets and owners. Items discussed pertaining to football operations included roster sizes, player and coaching salary caps, game scheduling and post season format.
Currently, the league is in the process of accepting deposits from potential owners, pending approval by the league. The league is also planning an owners’ meeting for the end of August in Los Angeles. After the owners’ meeting the first New United States Football League press conference will be held in Los Angeles.
Dwyer concluded, “It won’t be long now before the fans of the New United States Football League get to know who, where and when.”www.newusfl.com/
