TIGERS ARE SET TO HOST A TEDDY BEAR DRIVE
Junction City, KS- Junction City Tigers of the Central Plains Football League will be hosting a teddy bear toss/drive on March 15th, 2008 when the Tigers open their regular season against the Missouri Mustangs out of Liberty, MO. When the Tigers score their first touchdown the fans are allowed to toss the teddy bears to the field of play. All of the bears collected at the toss or at the front gate will be donated to a local charity. “This is a good way for the Tigers players to get involved with the community of Junction City” said Head Coach Shawn Smith. “I’m very excited to get this underway and help out the local community and give back to JC” said Smith. Game time will be at 3PM and gates will open 1 hour prior to the kickoff against the Missouri Mustangs. Tickets are on-sale now with the Adults are $4.00 Children (6-18) $3.00 SR. Citizens (55 and older) $2.00 and active military ID will receive $1.00 game ticket. Season Tickets are Family 4 pass: $30.00 and Individual pass: $15.00
