www.rrstar.com/sports/x899762183ROCKFORD — In dire need of a victory, the Raptors saw a 19-point halftime lead dwindle to three late in their first home game of the season Saturday.
But recharged by a new quarterback and wide receiver Willie Tolon’s breakout game, Rock River hauled in its first CIFL victory, holding off Chicago 55-45.
“We came together in this one,” said Tolon, who played both offense and defense the entire second half. “We knew it was crunch time, and we knew we couldn’t fall to 0-3.”.......article continues in link.
