www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=733645Gilbert Brown the defensive tackle was always a locker room leader, but he never, ever outspokenly criticized his team in his 10 years of run-stuffing the middle for the Green Bay Packers.
Then again, the "Gravedigger" never ever saw his defense get scorched for 60 points in back-to-back games, either.
So Brown, feeling his way out as a first-time coach of the new indoor football team, the Milwaukee Bonecrushers, could not hold back after his team was manhandled by the Muskegon Thunder, 60-35, Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
"What we did today was just atrocious. It was just horrible," said Brown. "You can't take nothing from this loss. Everybody played horrible. We even coached horrible. The whole thing was horrible."
No argument from the stands, which were more full, thankfully for the upstart Bonecrushers. Perhaps that was the one positive - fan turnout was announced at 5,407 - double of the debut last week in another drubbing for the Bonecrushers.......article continues in link. Article also linked on IFF homepage. Muskegon moves to 2-1 with the victory, while Milwaukee falls to 0-2.

They have to keep marketing and keep fans interested in the team. We know they're not very good on the field. But you can be very good off the field and stave off those first-year football jitters.
