But Thomas had a pretty productive tag-team partner in Kenny Davis, and when Thomas needed to take a breather, or in the rare instance when he was injured and couldn't play, Davis picked up the load and the Bills finely-tuned machine hardly skipped a gear.
It is a unique luxury in the NFL to have two quality, almost interchangeable running backs, and it looks like these modern-day Bills may be enjoying a blast from their past.
Marshawn Lynch is the undeniable No. 1 running back in Buffalo, and the more we get to see Fred Jackson play, the more obvious it becomes that the Bills have a reliable and viable backup......article continues in link.

I didn't miss a single BILLS game this season(DirecTV 10 years) I preferred Jackson running the ball.
