Sounds like Colorado forfeited to Kansas this week and had some of their players go up to Cheyenne to play for the Warriors against CB. Does this mean Colorado is folded? Reports from their ownership say 'no' and they'll play again. I'm not so sure. Think we can get the folks who run the league to comment on this? I know they read these boards.
I guess I've been fooled into thinking things were a little better in the APFL.
The question I'm stuck with is....how long do the Bandits put up with it? I'm afraid they're the only ones who can make any moves here.

Another question to ask would be is Cheyanne folding as well since they had to use Colorado players? What is the rule on new players.....don't they have to sit out a week?

I think you will see other teams fold soon on this. And seeing a newcomer to the league fold isn't anything new ... remember Florida? Beaumont? Conroe? Nebraska Bears? St. Joe Explorers? wow, I've been around this team way too long. And where is Sioux City going to go? Back to the fracas of the IFL? Heck there is talk of the BEEF leaving the IFL. On that note ....
Any truth to the rumor that Council Bluffs Express are paying some players IFL league max to keep them from going to the IFL teams while other players are not being paid?

FC - that used to be the rule, but remember how hard it is to get rules enforced in the APFL? BH had to damn near threaten to get it enforced their last years in the league. I hope the owners of the league do read this ... if you run businesses like you run this league, I'd be looking over your shoulder every chance you get.

Do you get what you pay for? Probably not, but it's still the best. As far as the Beef leaving, that isn't happening. They might fold, but that's the extent of it. The league OWNS the Beef. They're going to push them out of their own league? Na, the Beef are either sold or they fold after this season.

I've heard rumors that the Arena Football League has been considering Expanding and if they do they have considered Omaha as a destination. Makes sense seeing as we have the facilities to host this type of team. The Beef seem to draw pretty well and Omaha is a football town so I'm sure an AFL Franchise could work here.
Thoughts?

Make good since the AFL teams are looking for mid-size arenas now. The Dallas team tryed to push Allen out to use the Allen event center last year. The price of the arena was a big difference plus the Dallas was only avg about 5500 to 7000 a game and they were paying close to 18k in rent. The Allen Event Center is $7500.

The only reason it doesn't make sense to me putting a team in Omaha for the AFL is that the AFL sucks and is lousy to watch! I would not pay a dime to watch that circus type play of football....nothing like pitch in catch for three hrs.
