Amarillo, TX 5/27/11 - The Amarillo Venom look to make it three-in-a-row as they travel to Prescott Valley, Arizona, to take on the Arizona Adrenaline. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:05 CST and can be listened to on 107.1 FM the Armadillo.
The Venom is coming off of their second straight win as they defeated the Allen Wranglers 36-33 on the final play of the game.
"Last week we showed our heart and determination" said Julian Reese, the Venom's head coach. "Down 27, our guys continued to believe in their abilities and never gave up."
The Adrenaline is coming off of their first win of the season as they defeated the Bricktown Brawlers 54-6 last week at home.
"One win cures a lot for a team," said Coach Reese. "We aren't over looking anybody. We go into every game with the same mind set. We are going to focus on what we are able to do and not concentrate on the things we can't control."
Sherard Ellis will be back under center for the Venom as he has led the team to two straight victories since being signed a couple of weeks ago. Ellis completed a three-yard pass to Anthony Clark on the final play of the game last week to slip past the Allen Wranglers on the final play.
The Venom returns home on June 6th for their home finale against the Bricktown Brawlers. Tickets can be purchased through the Venom's front office located at 901 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo, or by calling (806)350-7277.
