Extreme beat Danger 45-27, move to 8-4 on the season
The Bloomington Extreme are back in the win column following a 45-27 win over the visiting Nebraska Danger in front of 4,421 fans at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
The Extreme opened the scoring with a 1-yard Andre Raymond touchdown run, and then followed it up almost immediately with a Quince Holman fumble recovery in the end zone after a Sean Kelly sack of Dixie Wooten. That put the Extreme up 14-0 having only run one offensive play.
Nebraska got to within four in the first half, and again early in the fourth quarter on a Wooten touchdown pass to Ryan Moore, which made the score 31-27.
But the Extreme answered with a Rocky Hinds touchdown pass to John Cooper and a Ke'Andre Sams interception led to the final touchdown-a 2 yard strike from Hinds to James Walton.
Hinds finished with 3 touchdown passes, and Andre Raymond had two rushing TDs. Quince Holman had two first half sacks to go with his touchdown.
The Extreme improved their record to 8-4 with a bye week scheduled over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The Extreme are back in action on Friday, June 3 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum against the La Crosse Spartans.
