The score is 61-5 through the first half of play, and the Barons scored touchdowns with nine different players.
Warriors started with the rock but lost it quickly on a fumble that was recovered by Chris Henderson for a touchdown. Barons completed a two-point conversion to make the score 8-0.
Barons then tried an onside kick to no avail, but the Warriors couldn’t capitalize on the gift of good field position. The possession amounted to a tackle for loss by Barons linebacker Brent Koontz and a fumble recovery by Koontz as well.
Barons kept the momentum going with a long completion down the left side of the field to Ryan Clifford that put them in the red zone. The drive was then capped off by a short pass to the right for Clifford in the end zone.
Ryan Johnson came up with an interception during the Warriors next possession, but the Warriors answered back with an interception of their own on the following drive.
Warriors still couldn’t capitalize though, as they were forced to go four and out.
Barons continued their onslaught on the Warriors with a touchdown run by quarerback Thomas Peregrin and another by former University of Nevada running back Luke Lippincott to make the score 28-0.
Warriors finally got on the board with a short field goal good for three points that was truly a victory for the Barons, as they were backed up in their own end zone.
Barons weren’t discouraged in the least by the score though, as they continued to pound the Warriors with a kickoff returned for a touchdown by Isaac Porter and a defensive beating that followed.
Warriors next possession resulted in another fumble recovery that was ran back for a touchdown by Barons linebacker Antoine Barlow.
A squib kick then had the Warriors bobbling for the ball and the kickoff ended with another Barons touchdown by wide receiver Lee Morehead who recovered the loose ball in the end zone.
Barons then came up with an interception on a hustle play by Isaac Porter but got greedy and started pitching the ball. The forward pitch resulted in the Warriors being awarded two points.
The two-points was nothing more than a bump in the road, and the Barons made that known by packing in two more touchdowns in the final minute of the half.
It will truly take a miracle for the Warriors to come back from this 56-point deficit. Second half is starting now.
