Amarillo, TX 5/13/11 - Julian Reese will make his head coaching debut tomorrow night as the Amarillo Venom host the Bricktown Brawlers at Coors Light Field in the Amarillo Civic Center. Doors for the game will open at 6:00 p.m. and the Coors Light Tailgate party will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. on the corner of Johnson and 3rd.
The game is the Venom's "Proud to be an American-Salute to the Troops" night in which the Venom will wear special red, white and blue jerseys that look like the American flag to show their support. The special game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off during the game and all proceeds will go to benefit America Supports You Texas.
"We are really looking forward to tomorrow night's game," said Joe Morgado, the Venom's general manager. "I'm glad our organization will be able to show our appreciation for the United States military and we would like our fans to come out and do the same."
The Brawlers come into the game on a five-game losing streak, most recently a 51-14 loss at home to the Wichita Wild. The Venom is coming off of a loss to the Allen Wranglers.
For military appreciation night, the Venom is offering free admission to all military with their military ID. In addition the Venom has lowered all of their individual game tickets to just $14. Fans needing tickets for the game against the Brawlers can call the Venom's front office at (806)350-7277 or stop by 901 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo. Fans can also purchase tickets at any United Supermarkets location, online at www.panhandletickets.com, or at the Amarillo Civic Center Box Office the day of the game.
