(RICHMOND)- Road wins are tough to come by in the SIFL and Indoor Football is a quarterback driven game. These are the two lessons that the Richmond Raiders came away with in their 74-54 loss to Erie Saturday Night in a battle of divisional leaders.
Erie's Adam DiMichele set an SIFL record for TDs in a game for the third consecutive week; this time throwing 11 while the Erie offense continued to roll up yardage and points. DiMichele totaled 300 yards on the night. SIFL leader Kevin Concepcion caught 14 passes for 135 years and 4 TDs. Erie holds a two game lead over Trenton in the Northeast Division of the SIFL.
The Raiders QB Mike Potts threw for 225 yards and 4 TDs and rushed for another in a losing effort. Redd Thompson caught 7 passes for 80 yards and 2 TDs. Fullback Brandon Isaiah had a rushing and receiving touchdown. The Raiders (4-2) stay in first place in the SIFL Mid-Atlantic Division with a 1 game lead over the Fayetteville Force.
The Raiders continue their two game road swing with yet another divisional leader; the unbeaten Albany Panthers. Richmond resumes their 2011 home schedule May 7 in a re-match against the Erie Explosion. It will be Local Attraction Night presented by Colonial Downs.
