Marion at Port Huron
The second half of the season begins with Marion and Port Huron headed in opposite directions. Marion has won two straight games to position itself for a regular season championship run against first place Cincinnati. Meanwhile, two weeks ago it appeared Port Huron was headed for first place show with the Commandos, only to drop their last two games and fall to 2-3.
The Blue Racers are led by quarterback Josh Harris, who is 31 of 57 for 331 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is second in the league behind Tyler Sheehan. His top receiver is Mike Tatum, who has caught nine passes for 117 yards and Antonio Wells, who has seven receptions for 108 yards. Marion’s top rusher is Christen Haywood, who has 72 yards on 22 carriers with four touchdowns. The Blue Racers top defender is Andre Troy, who has 15 solo tackles, seven assisted tackles.
Port Huron, who is 2-1 at home this season, is led on offense by quarterback Jim Roth, who has completed 27 of 65 passes for 320 yards and five touchdowns. His top target is Devon Daniels, who has caught seven passes for 89 yards and four touchdowns. The Predators top defender is Anthony Calamita, who has nine solo tackles and 15 assisted tackles.
Indianapolis at Chicago
This week the Knights will host the Enforcers in a rematch of last week's 42-14 Chicago victory in Indianapolis. A CIFL schedule change has this game scheduled for Sunday, April 17th at 3pm ET. The originally scheduled game against Cincinnati is set to be scheduled for later in the season.
