Yes, that is very surprising. Especially since the Amercians logo was replaced by the Waco Twisters logo. The Twisters were scheduled to play the Southlake Pirates this Friday, until that was changed this morning. The Amercians game verses the Crunch is still on the schedule.

The reports I am hearing are: Many teams are having issues with the league. A group of teams are forming a new league. Americans office personel was disillusioned by the league claiming to be indoor, yet 90% of games are played out door. Plus the league put out a schedule but the venues were not locked up. Coach Simpson said the league was a bunch of nice guys just not well organized. He also said that they would be playing a independent schedule possibly including IIFA teams. From the sound of it both the league and the Americans have no animosity toward each other, "things just didn't work out"

Who every you are getting your information is way off base. The only team that plays out side is East Texas and this is the 1st year of this like the IFL (Richmond Revolution). But our team play in a roping arena not on a 100 yard football field. And as far as some starting a new league that way tried this year and they did make it. Last point, with the American I will just say I wish them the best.

I have talked to the Arenas that were scheduled. It easy just call and ask if the iifa has a game scheduled. I talked to several arenas including blue sky. The league has no games scheduled there as of 4/12/11. I do not think having games @ a rodeo arena is bad. Having them on a 100 yard field with inflatables around them is ridiculous. The whole purpose of the barrier is to protect the players from the boards. Why not just mark off the outdoor fields and have them be whistled out of bounds? I saw the pics from Longview...just goofy.

You are right there are not any game at Blue sky because the American didn't pay for their time. Also the game in Longview was moved at the last minute because they didn't smooth out the dirt at their arena. SO you are more than welcome to come to Stampede Sports Arena tonight in Southlake or the NYTEX in North Richland Hills tomorrow to see the IIFA play.

Well al I can say is that this the IIFA is still in operation. Others have fallen by the wayside. And with the record of moving players up to other teams seems to be working. Sure this is not a big money leuage, but it's goal to to move guys up that are good. And for those teams that can't hang "OH WELL". The IIFA will contiune to grow..........
