Touchdown Tim Parker leads the way in another Thundercats victory!
On Saturday March 26th the Thundercats rolled to a 56-26 victory over the Tuscon Trojans and have improved their mark in Arena competition to 2-0, adding to their overall undefeated record as well. After a week full of off the field controversy the Thundercats decided to give QB Tim Parker the start vs. the Trojans to showcase his talents as well as to pay homage to his Arizona State Sun Devil past as his college rival the Arizona Wildcats also reside in Tuscon. Tim Parker garnered his Thundercat Player of the Game recognition for a performance that included 6 TD passes and 1 rushing TD. Front runner for the team MVP award Zack James continued his pace by scoring 2 more TD’s for the Red & Black, new comer Travis Thomas broke out with 3 TD’s in his first action as a Thundercats, veteran WR Travis Taylor added a spectacular diving catch to his already impressive resume of TD grabs, and Andre Follins came out from AZ and made some noise with 2 big grabs including a TD and a couple of nice runs, Head Coach/OC/QB Justin Mc Kenzie threw a TD pass to Follins to close out the T Cat Scoring in the 4th. The Thundercat defense put together yet another solid performance with sacks by Darrell Daugherty, a safety by Daniel Blagg, interceptions by Xavier Weathersby and John Palmer. The selection of defensive player of the game is a hard choice but in this game it was the Defensive Line, with Darrell Daugherty, Danierl Blagg, Lans Collins, and Lance Latuli, supported by David Brewer, Ricky Thomas, Alberto Soto, and Andrew Ellison the Thundercat line was in the Tuscon backfield all day long.This won’t be the last arena game for the Thundercats as they will be facing the Las Vegas Cobras, Reno Barons, and Stockton Wolves, stay tuned for upcoming arena events.
