ABILENE, Tex. - Robert Kent threw six touchdowns passes and rushed for two more as Houston set an SIFL record for road scoring as the Stallions throttled Abilene.
Kent complete 15 of 18 passes for 247 yards, connecting with Timon Marshall three times for scores and twice with Kenyada Tatum, who also had a kickoff return for a score. Carlos Alsop rushed for 68 yards and two TDs.
The Stallions defense intercepted four Ruff Rider passes and registered five sacks.
Joe Brannen threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns for Abilene.
HAMMERHEADS 70, MAGIC 53
CORPUS CHRISTI, Tex. - Anthony Andre threw for 239 yards and seven touchdowns - two each to Corey Brittain, Keith Smith and Julius Eppinger and one to Chris Peete - as the Hammerheads won their home opener over Rio Grande Valley.
Two Brittain TDs and a 42-yard Skyler Moore run helped the Hammerheads score 30 points in the second quarter and erase an early 19-12 deficit.
Moore finished with 58 yards and two scores.
Travis McAlpine (10 catches for 103 yards) had three of Billy Garza's six touchdown passes for the Magic.
SWASHBUCKLERS 73, TARPONS 32
LAKE CHARLES,La. - Ben McLaughlin tied the SIFL record with nine touchdown passes as the Swashbucklers pulled away from a 22-20 first quarter lead to down Mobile Bay.
Marc Wildrige and Taurean Rhetta each had three TDs for LA as McLaughlin finished with 272 yards.
LA's defense held Mobile Bay to 12 points over the final 45 minutes.
Todd Wilson had 254 yards and 4 TD passes for the Tarpons, with James Matthews catching six balls for 131 yards and two scores.

ERIE, Pa. - Craig Camay's 34-yard field goal at the buzzer gave Trenton its first-ever victory in dramatic fashion over Erie.
Trenton tied the game on Antoine Rivera's 13-yard pass from EJ Nemeth with 6:52 remaining and got the ball back after a missed Explosion field goal.
Camay nailed three field goals in the game.
Nemeth threw for 303 yards and seven TDs, with Rivera catching ten passes for 116 yards and three scores.
Adam DiMichelle had six touchdown passes for Erie.
LIONS 29, FORCE 28
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Trey Crum's 28-yard field goal as time expired gave defending champion Columbus a come-from-behind win over Fayetteville.
The Force had leads of 21-16 and 28-13 before Columbus rallied behind Chris McCoy TDs to Gerald Gales and Brandon Horace.
McCoy had 214 yards and three touchdown passing and ran for another.
Lamar Little had two TD passes for the Force, but completed just 8 of 25 passes and was intercepted three times.

RICHMOND, Va. - Damon Thompson caught nine passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns as Richmond jumped out to an early 23-6 lead and pulled away to a victory over Alabama.
Alabama closed to 23-16 on a third-quarter field goal, but Herb Jones' 8-yarder from Robbie Jenkins and Michael Woodhouse's fumble recovery staked the Raiders back to a three-score lead.
Jenkins and Aaron Alexander combined to throw five Raider TD passes.
Charles McClain had 11 catches for 105 yards for Alabama.
