PIKEVILLE, KY – The Eastern Kentucky Drillers remained unbeaten at home after scoring 28 unanswered points in the second quarter en route to the 56-29 victory Sunday over Canton in Ultimate Indoor Football League action at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center.
The scoring explosion was part of a first-half barrage in which enabled the Drillers to take a comfortable 35-7 lead into the half. Although the scoring slowed significantly in the second half, the outcome was pretty much determined.
Eastern Kentucky’s Aric Evans, the league’s top touchdown threat, added four more to his tally while hauling in six passes for 104 yards. E.J. Adams added six catches for 77 yards.
Ryan Brinson led Canton with five receptions for 80 yards. Cody Smith recorded 10 tackles and an interception for the Cougars.
