The Bloomington Extreme moved to 4-1 on the season with a 52-44 win over the Chicago Slaughter at U.S. Cellular Coliseum tonight. The Extreme jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Slaughter tied it with a pair of scores before the Extreme took a 28-25 lead into the locker room. Chicago actually took a 32-31 lead in the third quarter, and tied it up again at 37 before the Extreme pulled away following a Haven Mosley touchdown pass to Johnny Gray and a 36-yard interception return for a touchdown by Marcus Winn. The Extreme were without regular starting quarterback Rocky Hinds, who was stuck in California following a missed flight during the bye week.
Chicago's Ben Sankey threw for 238 yards and 5 touchdowns, but also threw 4 interceptions. Haven Mosley threw 3 TD's-two of them to Glenn Johnson-for the Extreme. Andre Raymond added two rushing touchdowns to go along with his 50 yards on the ground.
The Extreme next travel to Lehigh Valley, Penn., to take on the Steelhawks on Saturday, April 9.
