Richmond, Virginia: The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week Six in the IFL. Each week the IFL selects three players, one from each phase of the game, offense, defense, and specials teams, whose play on the field stood out among the rest of the competition. The Week Six Players of the week are listed as follows:
Offensive Player of the Week: Eric Taylor, RB, Fairbanks Grizzlies
Eric Taylor breaks on to the IFL highlight scene again this week as Offensive Player of the Week. Taylor has shown versatile skill in many positions of offense. From passing to rushing, Taylor proves himself at the top of the offensive game. In this past weekend Taylor alone recorded 9 rushes for 15 yards and 3 touchdowns, a half back pass for a 4 yard touchdown, and topped it off with a 45 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Defensive Player of the Week: Tyler Knight, LB, Sioux Falls Storm
Tyler Knight has made a name for himself for 2011 in the IFL. His quick speed places him at the top of our list for Week 6's players of the week. Tyler registered 18.5 tackles in the Storm's game vs. the Wild. On top of his 18.5 tackles, Knight had also recorded a sack, a forced fumble, and two pass break ups.
Special Teams Player of the Week: B.J. Hill, KR, Green Bay Blizzard
B.J. Hill will stand his ground for the second week in a row as the IFL Special Teams Player of the Week. His outstanding performance in the last two weeks has solidified him as one of the best returners in the league. For the second week in a row B.J. has returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also putting up 117 yards returning in his last game against Nebraska.
