The North Texas Crunch closed out their 2011 pre-season Saturday by scoring the most points in team history. The Crunch defeated the East Texas Wranglers Saturday in their final pre-season game 75 to 66. The Crunch seventy-five points came from their Offense, Defense and Special Teams. North Texas Crunch QB Derrick Dickerson had five TD’s in the game: he ran in two (1 yard and 10 yards) and throw for three (Anthony Alexander 15 yard, Stacy Brown 1 yard and Donta Malcolm 35 yards). Back up QB Willie Jones also had four TD’s: he ran one for 10 yards and threw three (Leo Rachal 30 and 15 yard and Stacy Brown on a 10 yard).
The Crunch defense and special teams added another 25 points to the 75. DB’s Frank Brown and James Williams both had INT’s for touchdowns. WR Donta Malcolm has a 55 yards kick return for a TD and kicker Steve Sandoval went 7 of 8 for PAT’s. The Crunch opens their 2011 regular season schedule on April 16 against the Dallas Americans
