Spartans' Jackson Named Defensive Player of the Week
La Crosse, WI: The La Crosse Spartans are proud to announce that defensive lineman Xzavie Jackson has been named the Vidswap.com Week Five Defensive Player of the Week for the Indoor Football League.
Jackson led the Spartans to their first win of the season last Thursday by racking up three quarterback sacks to go along with a blocked field goal attempt which lead to a defensive touchdown for teammate Walner Belleus. He also had constant pressure on Kent Predators quarterback Charles McCollum and held the league's second highest-scoring offense to just 20 points. In his last two games, Jackson has racked up five sacks and three blocked field goal attempts. He leads the IFL in both categories after five weeks.
Individual game tickets for the La Crosse Spartans second season in the Indoor Football League are on sale now at the La Crosse Center box office. Tickets for all seven home games are on sale now for as little as $7 including the Spartans next home game on April 3rd against the expansion Nebraska Danger.
Tickets for the brand-new all you care to drink and eat "party zone" are on sale as well. Tickets for these sections can be purchased in advance for $25 by calling the Spartans office. Limited seating is available so fans are encouraged to pre-order tickets and avoid paying $30 the day of the game. Party zone tickets are not available at the La Crosse Center box office prior to game day.
