ALLEN, TX-The day of travelling took a toll on the Wranglers as the team fell 37-55 to the Fairbanks Grizzlies on Friday, March 18th.
The Wranglers tallied 125 more yards of total offense against their opponent; the Wranglers walked away with an average of 6.1 yards per play and 338 yards of total offense. Wrangler defensive back Frankie Solomon started the game off right with an interception; quarterback Anthony Fisher quickly capitalized with a touchdown pass to receiver Jason Jones. The Grizzlies responded with a touchdown of their own off a pass to John Halman.
Penalties played a big factor in the game as the Wranglers walked away with 18 penalties for a total of 133 yards lost. The Grizzlies suffered a less severe fate with just 57 yards lost due to penalties.
The Wranglers return home this week and are set to face the Bricktown Brawlers at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, March 25th. This will be the second home game for the Wranglers; they are currently 1-0 against the Brawlers.
