Amarillo, TX 3/17/11 - Coach Blackshear and the Amarillo Venom are asking their fans to "blackout" the Amarillo Civic Center for their home opener Friday, March 18th, against the Wyoming Cavalry by wearing their black Venom gear to the game.
The Venom is offering a special 4 for $60 package where fans can get 4 tickets to the game and 4 official blackout game day t-shirts for just $60. If fans wish to purchase individual tickets they can receive $2 off by wearing their black Venom gear to purchase their tickets at the Amarillo Civic Center Box Office.
"We are looking forward to our home opener," said Joe Morgado, the Venom General Manager. "We are hoping to see a lot of black in the stands."
The Venom returns home after a couple of tough road trips to kick off the 2011 season.
"We are glad to be back at home," said Rodney Blackshear, Head Coach of the Amarillo Venom. "We played in two tough places on the road to begin the season and are ready to play in front of our fans. We have some of the best fans in the IFL that are going to make it tough on the Wyoming Cavalry."
The Venom's 4 for $60 package can be purchased through the Venom front office located, at 901 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo, or by calling 350-7277. All other tickets can be purchased at any United Supermarket location, at the Civic Center Box Office, or by visiting www.panhandletickets.com . Doors for Friday night's home opener will open at 6:00 with the Coors Light Tailgating Party on the corner of Johnson and 3rd starting at 5:30.
