The Chicago Knights and head coach John Burns are excited to announce the 2011 Chicago Knights Roster. The Knights roster is loaded with indoor veterans and an influx of young talent. The Knights hope to begin their goal towards a CIFL championship!!
Coach Burns defensive unit is led by game changing linebacker Ty Meyers and CIFL tackling machine James Cichon. Those two hope to be the best line-backing duo in the CIFL. They are accompanied by a group of young and extremely talented defensive backs that hope to make their mark in the CIFL and work as one defensive unit!
Assistant coach and defensive line coach Chris Van Stone brings his 2009 Chicago Slaughter championship experience to a talented Knights team. Anchoring his defensive line is former NFL player Shonn Bell. His counterparts Germayel Cowser and first year starter Jeremy Shedrick hope to keep quarterbacks under constant pressure throughout the season.
Offensively New offensive coordinator Anthony Stone brings his dynamic offense to the new look Knights. Stone gives the reins to quarterback Ron Ricciardi to execute his system with precision. Coach Stone has Brought in a talented group of wide receivers. His offensive group is led by returning CIFL star Brandon Wogoman and speedster Willie Tolon Jr. The Knights also showcase first year players running back Ryan Robinson and wide receiver Rick Larhman. The Knights offensive line foundation is built around center Josh Coyle. This young offensive line hope to be the brick wall for coach Stones offense.
The Chicago Knights open their season Saturday march 5 against the defending CIFL champion Cincinnati Commandos at the Cincinnati Gardens for a 7:30 kickoff!!!! Make sure to follow your 2011 Knights on facebook for their game updates and latest news!!!
