Eight months ago tonight, the Cincinnati Commandos were crowned the 2010 CIFL Champions. Tonight, the league kicks off their sixth season in a familiar city and arena.
The Port Huron Predators will play host to the Indianapolis Enforcers at McMorran Arena in Port Huron, Michigan. Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm.
The Predators have some old faces on their roster that brought the city a league championship in 2006 and a championship game appearance in 2007. Among those players are wide receiver Robert Height, league MVP in 2007, and defensive back Ernie Smith. The signal caller will be Damon Dowdell, winning quarterback of the 2008 CIFL Championship with the Saginaw Sting.
The Enforcers enter the season based out of Indianapolis, but playing their entire schedule on the road. Originally slated for entry in the 2012 season, the Enforcers have some indoor experience but primarily have a roster of rookies playing in their first ever indoor game.
