BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - Year six for the Bloomington Extreme Indoor Football Team begins this weekend with players reporting Saturday, February 12 and Training Camp beginning Sunday, February 13.
Training Camp will begin Sunday morning with player physicals beginning at 8:00 AM, conducted by Dr. Lamont Tyler of OSF St. Joseph, followed by imPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) conducted by Dr. Edward Pegg, MD, LLC. The first practice of the season will take place Saturday afternoon at Game Time Gym in Bloomington. The Extreme Training Camp roster consists of 45 players, featuring 18 players from the 2010 roster and 27 new additions. The roster will be cut to 30 players in time for the Sunday, February 27 season opening home game at 3:00 PM versus the Richmond Revolution.
The Extreme Training Camp Roster features the return of four prominent former Extreme players, Wide Receivers James Walton and Glenn Johnson, Defensive Lineman Antonio Ficklin, and Linebacker Winston Taylor.

Wide Receiver John Cooper has taken a leave of absence from the team to tend to personal matters but plans to rejoin the team at a later date.
The Extreme will compete in the United Conference of the Indoor Football League as members of the Great Lakes Division which includes: Green Bay Blizzard, Chicago Slaughter, and the La Crosse Spartans.
"We feel we've put together a great group of talented football players that will make our community proud this season", states Head Coach Mike Murray. "It's a good blend of veterans, rookies, and guys that have been a part of the Extreme family and this community. We look for all of these individuals to come together quickly as a team." The talent level in the IFL gets better each year, and our division (Great Lakes Division) is as strong as any in the league, but with this group of players and the coaching staff we have in place, we can compete with anyone."
