TRENTON, Nj (January 06, 2011) - The Trenton Steel have signed lineman Eric Bullock who comes to the Steel with indoor football experience and is expected to anchor the defense come opening day.
Bullock, a 6'1", 312-pound defensive lineman, played collegiately at Norfolk State. The Trenton native then spent time with the Billings Outlaws and Rochester Raiders of the Indoor Football League (IFL). While playing with Rochester Raiders, Bullock's stats continued to expand and by his last season in 2007, he started all 11 games at Nose Tackle and totaled 47 tackles leading the defensive line. Bullock was then selected to play in 2007 East Coast All-Star Bowl game, where he started and had three sacks. Having played on both the offensive and defensive lines, Bullock brings versatility and experience to the Steel trenches.
"I am very pleased to announce the signing of Eric Bullock," said head coach Jeff Hoffman. "Eric has experience in indoor football and knows how to execute a successful, cohesive defensive attack. This guy is going to have a significant impact on our defense productivity."
The Trenton Steel will kick off their inaugural season in the SIFL in March 2011 and will play all of their home games at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ.
