Off of the domination of the SV Storm, the Rebels looked to stomp the Speed, who they already decimated earlier in the season, this week however was different. Missing several key players and Head Coach Earl Work the Rebels squeaked by with a victory to move to 4-0 with a 26-16 win over the improving Speed.
Offensively the Rebels struggled last week vs. the Speed, a small spark came on a powerful 4th and 3 run by Dave Younkins that turned into a 15 yard touchdown run. Fumbles and poor pass protection halted the Rebels normal air attack until Larry Carson connected with Jamar White on a long TD pass to comfortably take the lead. Rebels defense had their back against the wall a majority of the night. Penalties continued to give the Speed chances to score, but when the dust cleared, despite the average starting position for the Speed being inside the Rebels 20 they only let up 2 touchdowns and a FG. Jamar White did it again by returning a missed FG 54 yards for a touchdown.
