Coming off of a bye week, it took some time to click on all cylinders, but by the final gunshot- the Rebels had earned their 3rd win of the season in as many games. They knocked off the Storm by a score of 34 - 6 and moved to 3-0 on the season.
On offense, The rebels started slow, but a rushing touchdown by Larry Carson sparked the powerful O. Receiving touchdown by Jamar White and rushing touchdown's from both WR Chris Clark and FB Earl Work helped vault the Rebels. WR/DB Darryl Boyd took back a second half kick in the game.
Rebels stout defense started early and didnt look back with a first series interception for return by Jamar White. DB Frank Swick tacked on two more interceptions and the always tough D-Line and Linebackers did what they do by forcing fumbles and laying the lumber. For the first time this season, the Rebels defense let up no touchdowns.

DESPITE THE NEW ADDITIONS TO THE TEAM THE SPEED FAILED TO CAPITALIZE ON BIG DRIVES. THE SPEED ARE A DETERMINED GROUP OF PLAYERS WITH A DESIRE TO WIN TO TURN THINGS AROUND.
EVEN WITH A GREAT SHOWING AT THE GAME AND THE HEART TO WIN, THE SPEED WERE WITHOUT OWNER AND COACH JEFF BOLLINGER, AS HE WAS HOSPITALIZED. LATE IN THE GAME SPEED STARTING QB - BRAD RUSSELL LEAVES GAME WITH CONCUSSION.... PLEASE KEEP BRAD AND JEFF IN YOUR PRAYERS.
