HARRISBURG, PA (November 22, 2010) - Wide Receiver Keith Stokes, who led the Harrisburg Stampede in receiving on the way to capturing league 1st Team All-Star honors, has been signed by the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. "We are excited for Keith. He is a gamer and a leader on and off the field. We wish him the best and we know what he brings to the game!" stated Stampede General Manager and Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski.
In 2010 Stokes led the Stampede in receptions (73), receiving yards (1,009) and ranked second on the team with 13 touchdowns; in just 12 games, while leading Harrisburg to an 11-3 record and the team's first playoff berth and win. Following the season the East Carolina University product was named an American Indoor Football Association's 1st Team All-Star Wide Receiver.
Stokes commented, "I'm excited to get a chance to play with the Soul and thankful that John [Morris] and the coaching staff gave me a chance to play. Good bye and good luck to the Stampede family."
