Houston, Tex. - The Houston Stallions, a member of the Southern Indoor Football League, have released their 2011 schedule. The team will play twelve games from March 26 to June 11, 2011 with the playoffs beginning the following week and concluding with the championship game on July 2.
The Stallions will call the Berry Center in Cypress, Tex. home for three games with the other three home contests to be played in another venue which will be announced shortly. The SIFL will be split up into five geographically balanced divisions with three teams each except the Lone Star Division which will have four. The divisional opponents for the Stallions are the Corpus Christi Hammerheads, Abilene Ruff Riders, and Rio Grande Valley Magic.
"We are excited to to begin the 2011 season at The Corral in front of our fans. Our Head Coach, Gerald Dockery, is putting together a very talented team that is going to contend for the league championship this season," said General Manager Steve Smith.
