Tucson, AZ: The Tucson Thunder Kats are excited to announce the signing of Quarterback BJ Hall and Defensive Back Cory Elmore. BJ Hall is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in arena football, able to beat teams with either his arm or his legs, at 6'3" 215# he runs the 40 in 4.5 seconds. In 2009 while playing for the New Mexico Wildcats, BJ passed for 2041 yards and 44 touchdowns while completing 68% of his passes, he also had 3 rushing touchdowns, and was named to the AIFA all star team.
BJ has played professional indoor football for the Dallas Vigilantes (AFL), New Mexico Wildcats (AIFA), and Lehigh Valley Outlawz (CIFL). BJ has also spent time with the Hamilton Tiger Cats (CFL) and the Tampa Bay Storm (AFL); he played college football at Troy University and Weber International University.
Cory Elmore has been signed as a Jack Back/Defensive Back. While his size is intimidating at 6'5" 245#, his strength, speed, and agility are just as impressive with a 4.6 second 40 yard dash, 31 reps of 225#, 9.5' Broad Jump and 4.4 pro shuttle.
Cory played offensive tackle for the University of Arizona, choosing to play for Arizona while also having scholarship offers from Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Wyoming. Cory was a highly recruited player from Semi Valley California.
The Tucson Thunder Kats are a professional indoor football team that will begin play in the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) in 2011. Home games will be played at the Tucson Convention Center.
