Corey Roberson provided the stops.
The combination of those two factors led to Wyoming's third victory of the season as the Cavalry beat the Utah Saints 62-7 on Saturday at the Casper Events Center to remain undefeated.
Jones scored touchdowns on the Cavs' first two possessions of the game and added two more in the second half. Jones scored on rushes of 12, 19, 30, and 8 yards -- two of which came from direct snaps.
"Anytime we can run that helps everything out," Wyoming coach Dan Maciejczak said. "It really opens up the passing game.".....article continues in link. More coverage on the www.indoorfootballfan.com homepage. Wyoming is 3-0 with the win, while Utah drops to 0-3.

Could the West Division be any less competitive?

It's about where most people figured it would be.
I pegged the line at Wyoming -58.5 - That was a pretty good call right there.

I think Arizona will provide some competition, but I wouldn't bet against a perfect season going into the playoffs for the Cavs.

the Wyoming fans deserve better.
Here's hoping the UIF and them can work something out for 09.

If all they play for a schedule is Arizona, New Mexico and Utah they won't lose a game, lmao...Arizona will be the only one to score more then the others but they won't beat Wyoming.

Arizona has an excellent chance to become competitive with the Cavalry. On some levels, they suffer from many players getting used to the indoor game as it's new to the area.
Their Head Coach has some indoor experience, and there should also be the opportunity to continue to upgrade their talent locally if needed. There's plenty of talent nearby.
That is an area that could very easily become an indoor football hotbed if things are done correctly.

Following the AIFA West is like watching the WIFL without the level of competition. I have to wonder if the APFL wouldn't have been better than the AIFA for the Cavs and Arizona. The other two teams wouldn't be a help to any league from the looks of it. I'm with CF4L on the Cavs in the UIF. Too bad there has to be the bad blood there. I think Arizona would be good for the IFL. With the sport at the point it is there is no sensible reason for anyone to play the same three teams all season long.

It will be exactly like watching the 'wifl' and the level of competition right now is about the same. The lions dominated til bout week 11. The closest thing to them was Augusta and they were still battling Osceola to get into the championship game by seasons end, where they beat the Lions. I wouldn't count AZ outta the PIC just yet due to history lessons in school. The one who seems the most boastful usually looks great til it counts the most. As for the west itself I don't know the league's plans but I would assume there would be atleast another 4 teams added for their competition in '09. There may be some teams lost other places but i would expect to see all 4 current teams playing in the 'aifa' next year.

There may be some teams lost other places but i would expect to see all 4 current teams playing in the 'aifa' next year. History lesson time: Columbus' scores from last year: W 45-42 W 34-31 L 45-49 W 28-27 W 69-30 (one not-close game) W 46-39 L 19-48 (two not-close games) W 61-34 (three not-close games) W 53-43 W 56-37 (four not-close games) W 37-28 W 58-51 L 40-52 L 47-63 (five not-close games) The 39 point margin...the biggest gap Columbus had in any game last year...EQUALS THE AVERAGE MARGIN OF VICTORY IN AN AIFA WEST GAME! (actually, it exceeds it by 1/3 point; the average MOV in the AIFA West is 38 2/3 points). You are incorrect. The AIFA west is like the WIFL without the parity. The AIFA absolutely needed these teams to be closely matched. Instead, there's three levels. Wyoming, a very good indoor team. Arizona, a very good APFL team. Utah and New Mexico, a very good set of opponents for New Jersey to play. Will the AIFA West even play all its games? So far, I don't think it looks good for those last two squads.

you know the CIFL doesn't look as bad. Considering they were tabbed as the worse point differentials last year by people.

The CIFL has its holes, but it is improving.

People didn't tab the CIFL. The CIFL tabbed the CIFL. Still they are looking pretty good. Maybe I'm just saying that because I'm pumped about the Sting - Raiders and Outlawz - Surge games tonight. I can't wait to see how those games turn out.
