www.adn.com/2010/05/10/1272161/arctic-predators-eke-out-a-52.htmlAnother nail-biter Saturday night gave the Arctic Predators, the Wasilla-based American Indoor Football Association expansion franchise, their second win in five games. The Predators beat the Wenatchee, Wash.-based Venom 52-48 in a see-saw affair. Wasilla was ahead by 10 in the final minutes, but the Venom scored twice -- once after recovering an on-side kick.
Despite having just 30 seconds, Wasilla scored with 12.4 seconds left when Monte Purvis caught a 15-yard pass from quarterback Damion Ward.
After the kickoff, Wenatchee had just four seconds left, enough for one play. They scored -- but were called offsides, wiping off the points.
