It's interesting to see the what appears to be the East Texas Drillers(IIFA) playing Conroe. Oops! June 5th is an open date but the 27th is the same weekend they play the Mustangs on the 26th. I previously stated those were both open weekends
What is even more interesting is it seems the Drillers will be in the IAFL play-offs as this schedule shows all four teams making the play-offs. (the Conquerors schedule only shows 3 teams making the play-offs)

www.hcnonline.com/articles/2010/05/31/conroe_courier/sports/jaguars_strip_0601.txtNote this article is from May 31, 2010Two years removed from the last time indoor football was played in Conroe, it will make its triumphant return this summer.
Owner Mike Williams and his kick start Conroe Jaguars will pick up where the Conroe Storm left off two years go as he and his team try to begin a successful run of indoor football in the Conroe area.
“We are excited to be able to bring indoor football back to the area,” Williams said. “We are going to try to provide an exciting football experience as well as do some things out in the community. We have received some positive comments from fans and I think a lot of people are looking forward to it.”
Williams decided to try his hand at owner ship after an accomplished career at both playing and coaching indoor football. Now he is hoping that his experience in the sport will pay off.
“Throughout my time I knew one day I wanted to be an owner,” Williams said. “I knew they had a good facility in Conroe and it was a good location. I talked to the previous owners (of the Storm) about some of the problems they had and we’re going to try and learn from those mistakes.”
Now an official team, the Jaguars will be a part of the Independent Indoor Football Alliance, which has teams from Texas, Louisiana and Florida.
The Jaguars, who will play their games at the Lone Star Expo Center, are made up of players from the general Houston area and have a strong group of talent with both Arena and Division I college football backgrounds.
“We have a lot of talent,” Williams said. “We have players from Prarie View A&M, Jackson State and Texas Southern. We also have players who have played in Arena1 too. We held tryouts in Houston and in Conroe and had a good turnout.
“Our coaches have playing experience and have plenty of coaching experience so they have done this sort of thing before.”
The group also has a strong core of Montgomery County talent as well. Ten of the current 36 players on the roster are from the area and help provide a hometown feel to the team.
“We have a quite a few guys from the area,” Williams said. “We also have two of our office ladies from Conroe as well.”
Up first on the Jaguars slate of games is an away game with the Texas Drillers from Tyler.
While his team hasn’t had much time to practice, Williams has liked the progress his coaches and players have made.
“We have been practicing for the last month and a half,” Williams said. “It was tough in the beginning but we have worked things out and have been able to come together as a team. I think we’re going to be prepared and we’re going to give them a good game.”

Interesting that the Jaguars somehow became a part of the IIFA for this article, since according to the Jaguars web site they are apart of the Independent World Football Alliance (IWFA).

Well they are not members of the IIFA and are not playing the Drillers on June 26. Actually they are scheduled to play the Drillers on June 27... but you are saying that is not going to happen, even if the Drillers lose this weekend and are not in Alliance Bowl III on the 26th?

The Drillers lost to the Pirates this weekend, but I don't think the Drillers are going to make the trip to Conroe on June 27.

So did the Conquerors play the Kings today. They played the Swashbucklers Sat. I have not received a response on either facebook page yet about a final score. There was a post yesterday saying they were playing. It's funny how the Conquerors were not good enough to play in the SIFL, but are good enough to fill in when they need an opponent. I guess that is why we are told not to burn bridges.
