Today the Central Plains Football League (CPFL) released their 2010 schedule that kicks off Saturday March 13th. The CPFL is an 8 man semi-pro football league that plays most of their games outdoors using similar rules as arena football but without the walls. The game is very entertaining with a lot of scoring at a fast pace. The field is 50 yards long with 7-10 yard end zones by 28 yards wide. In the CPFL there are no 3 plays and a punt like you see in a traditional 11 man game. Each team will go for it on 4th down or try a field goal. The CPFL will enter their 4th season with seven teams competing for the championship. There are three teams returning from last season, the Missouri Mustangs out of Liberty; who are entering their 4th season, the Springfield Lightning and Independence Bulldogs who are entering their 3rd season. The CPFL will have four new teams; the Topeka Thunder, Junction City Force, West Missouri Kings and the Omaha Rhinos.
