Even though they aren’t related, the Convent-born Landry and the Napoleonville-born White are close friends.
Both say that people often ask if they are brothers due to their similar backgrounds and the large amount of time they spend with each other.
Both players attended Southern University and played together on the Jaguars football team.
Both work at the Motiva Enterprises Oil Refinery in Convent.
Both ride with each other to work and to Conquerors’ practices every day.
And as receivers, they have become one of the top pass-catching duos in the Southern Indoor Football League.
Both Landry (37 receptions, 340 yards, five touchdowns) and White (29 receptions, 309 yards, five touchdowns) rank in the Top 5 in all SIFL receiving categories.
“Basically, we’re with each other every single day all the time,” said Landry, who prepped at Lutcher. “It’s good to have that brotherhood and chemistry together because we know we’ll always have each others back on and off the field.”
And White, a former Assumption High standout, said the close relationship off the field has helped them during the games. ......article continues in link.
