And with their second bye of the season last week, Thomas gave his players and coaching staff the entire week off.
Thomas said the move gave everyone a chance to relax and focus on non-football related activities such as spending time with their families, healing injuries, going on a vacation, focusing on their full-time jobs away from the team and recovering from a brutal three game road trip in losses to Lafayette (Acadiana Mudbugs), Austin, Texas (Turfcats) and Lake Charles (Louisiana Swashbucklers).
“The guys really needed some rest,” Thomas said. “I think it’s going to benefit us pretty well. We have various guys traveling from various parts of this region to practice three times a week. This gives them a chance to regroup, get their minds ready and rest because they don’t have to travel back and forth this week.”......article continues in link.
