www.nj.com/morristown/jasonlockhart/index.ssf/2009/05/is_the_season_over_for_the_rev.htmlIs the season over for the New Jersey Revolution?by Jason Lockhart Thursday May 14, 2009, 9:00 AM www.njrevs.comIs the New Jersey Revolution season finished after just three home games? According to player director Kevin Hanratty, several opponents have canceled games or folded, and the Revs are unlikely to return to Morris Township's Mennen Arena -- even if they can find someone to play. "We had three home games and the teams we had scheduled next to play us either cancelled or decided to take the year off to regroup for next year," Hanratty said. The recession has hit the Continental Indoor Football League hard. Teams that apparently have gone under include the New England Surge and Chesapeake Tide, which were scheduled to play the Revolution. There also are questions about the Revolution's status with the CIFL. The team has played non-league teams, suggesting it's an independent organization. The Revolution front office had been trying all season to find indoor teams from anywhere to play the fourth-year franchise----either on the road or at home----to complete a full 6-10 game schedule. "These economic times have been tough for everyone, even for professional sports," Hanratty said. "The Arena Football League [for example] had to cancel its entire season!" Although he insists the season is not over, it's been nearly three weeks since the Revs had a game or practiced at Mennen Arena. "There are no practices in sight right now for us," Hanratty said. "If we have any, it won't be at Mennen."

This guy needs to do a little more research. Although, he did figure out the teams the Revs played were not in the CIFL.
