www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/longhorns/entries/2009/03/17/heres_an_answer.htmlSomewhere between Earl and Ricky, there was Butch Hadnot, a hard-hitting Longhorn tailback in a fullback’s body. Hadnot ranks 42nd on Texas’ all-time rushing list with 1,042 yards and 11 TDs, the bulk of them as a freshman in 1990. He played just two years at Texas before some academic issues shortened his stay.
After bouncing around with various NFL, CFL and arena teams and working for an overnight delivery company, Hadnot has resurfaced as a volunteer coach with the startup Austin Turfcats, an indoor team that begins play next month.
On the Turfcats staff, Hadnot joins fellow former Longhorns Chris Duliban and Kerry Cash.
Here’s a YouTube clip from Texas’ 1990 win over previously undefeated Houston, when Hadnot ran for 134 yards ad TDs and flattened a whole bunch of Cougars:.....video clip in link.
