"We're moving quickly," Wild coach Michael "Kool Aid" Owens said Saturday after the second tryout session wrapped up at Teays Physical Therapy Center.
The Wild secured a CIFL franchise on Jan. 16, giving Huntington and the Tri-State its third indoor team since 2001. Owens, through his connections and tryouts, filled out a roster to begin training camp Saturday at Veterans Memorial Field House, the team's home arena.
The River Cities LocoMotives competed in the National Indoor Football League in 2001. They lasted one season. The Huntington Heroes had their three-year run in the American Indoor Football League/Association end after 2008.
