Previous attempts to play professional indoor minor league football by the River Cities LocoMotives and Huntington Heroes failed, mostly because of financial issues.
The new team's ownership group is West Virginia Wild LLC. Chad Jarrett is the interim general manager. Tom Vallance is the director of IT/Web Services, Ticketing and Media Relations.
