Team owner and head coach Franklin Thomas made the announcement at a Wednesday morning news conference at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center. The Conquerors will compete in the Southern Indoor Football League.
Thomas is familiar with the area. He is a former player and assistant coach with the Bayou Bucks, a former Houma-based team in the National Indoor Football League. I doubt she cares anymore.
If the SIFL's cost structure is in line with what I've heard, these smaller markets with good fan bases will have all kinds of success.
