I know that Texas is known as a football state; But it looks like the Lone Star state is the new hot bed for arena football. As of now, it looks like there will be 25 arena teams playing in Texas this season. Wow.
AFL - 1 AF2 - 5 IFL - 6 APFL - 4 IIFA - 9
Even crazier, there will be 7 teams playing in the greater Houston/Bay area and two in the mid sized Corpus Christi.

Texas is a huge powerhouse. Even lower level outdoor ball has several good teams.

There are 5 teams in the D/FW area: Dallas (AFL), Frisco (IFL), Collin County (IIFA), DFW Doom (IIFA), and Kaufman County (IIFA). There isn't a team in Ft. Worth its in Alvarado, Texas 50 min for D/FW
